We are about six weeks away from the first night of the new Americana Folk Music Camp and everything is progressing very smoothly. We have a great group of Campers and Staff and we’re all looking forward to hearing music that we all love. There will be 96 songs done by the Campers and the songs range from Peter, Paul and Mary to The Beatles and The Eagles. Plus there will be songs from our staff and some surprises.
Shows will begin every evening at 7pm in the Grand Ballroom D-E-F. Tickets for shows are $15 at the door or you can buy a 4 night pass for $40.
Paul will have his room, 7205 in the Executive Lodge, open from Tuesday through Friday from 2-3pm for tickets to the Americana shows and the John Stewart Band show. He will also have T shirts and cd’s for sale. It’s cool inside and he gets lonely so please stop by and say Hi!
The John Stewart Band will be performing again on Sunday evening the 12th of August. The show will be in the Grand Ballroom D-E-F and tickets will be available at the door or in Paul’s room for advance sale.
On Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm there will be the John Stewart Remembered gathering with Tom O’Donnell, Charlie Woodward, Fred Grittner, Bob Moore and John August Lee. The location is Las Palmas A&B
There will also be a Dance Party organized by Ron Beliveau on Monday night the 13th of August. It will be held in the old Remington’s restaurant on the Plaza property. The music will be provided by John Hoke, Dave Batti and some special guests. There is a suggested donation and there will be an open bar.
The Bloodlines Reunion is also in full swing and they are asking for pre-registration if you would like to join in. You can get on the list by emailing Rick Godwin and letting him know that you are coming.
Finally, Greg and Janet Deering and Bob Zink will be joining us again this year under the sponsorship of the Bloodliners. They are always glad to talk banjos and bring with them a great selection for you to play and purchase.
